Cannot get Harold and Maude to play - my first attempt to watch a movie.

A 13-year-old me was enthralled with this film, and I remain so, lo these many years later. I wish I'd met a Maude at that time in my life, when hope was non-existent. One of my favorite films of all time.

I don't fr*cking care about critics anymore. IT's a CLASSIC. I KNOW. But still. There's so many times in my seat where I was through. Maybe I need to see it again

I have watched this movie about 7 times since it was released in the 70's. It is one of my all time fav's. Each time I see it I get something "new" from it. I always found this to be a quirky little movie. Its about loneliness and the reach people go to, toward any other human being, to bridge the gap. Often in doing so we find joy, though sometimes also pain, sorrow and even more longing.

In some ways, it saddens me that I didn't see HAROLD AND MAUDE until I was 25... 17 year-old me needed this so much. Don't make my mistake! If you haven't already, watch this mischievously dark but wholly life-affirming film as soon as you can.

This is one of my absolute favorite movies of all time. It's funny, heartbreaking, beautiful and unique with a fantastic score.
